Basically, it is the product of Belgian software company known as Image-Line. The best thing about image line is that they believe in lifetime free updates. Image-Line FL Studio previously known as “Fruity Loops” in 1997, later on, they changed its name to fl studio.

It includes everything in one package that helps you to arrange, compose, edit, record, mix and produce professional quality music with less effort. Just keep at it, and eventually you'll make progress.Fl Studio 20 is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) with the complete software music production environment. I almost gave up millions of times because it's extremely frustrating when you can't get the sound you want. you're in for the long haul if this is what you wanna do. I'm not trying to insult you, or offend you. I've been at it 5 years and just now feel like I can make music that would stand up with any other kind of producer out right now, mix and all. This isn't a one week and you're done kind of course. Then when you feel confident in your music you can take on mixing to get the professional quality sound. You don't have to learn an instrument but it helps 1,000 fold.

It would be like if you've never cooked anything a day in your life and then try to go cook a full course 5 star restaurant kind of meal. you have no knowledge of musical theory, and can't play any kind of instrument. Wait a while before investing a lot of money on gear and just focus on making music. You don't have to have a lot of expensive gear yet either. I'd suggest saving up the money for the cheapest FL Studio version so you can at least Save and Reopen your project files doing that alone will help you greatly. Just stick with it, read up and study everything you can about your DAW, your gear, and musical theory. It's way to early to be predicting how bad or how well you might do. It takes a lot of time spent with it learning it, just like someone would spend time practicing playing instruments - it takes time and practice to get good with whatever DAW you choose.

Point being, FL Studio is powerful enough to produce pro quality tracks (many top notch producers use it now) but its only as powerful as the user. I tried other DAWs out but always came back to FL, and when it became FL Studio I found I didn't need anything else to supplement it. I started off using Fruity Loops (the old one, shareware) that a friend gave me. It was years before I made anything I really felt any pride about. If anyone could reply or give me some help I'd greatly appreciate it. Is this a sign of a bad producer? Am I in need of better software to get the sounds that I want if I'm currently not satisfied with the plugins I'm using? I would like to mention that I have no knowledge of musical theory, and I have not mastered any musical instrument, though I do have a minimal amount of knowledge on the software I am using. In the end, I always either just give up trying to make a song, or I am always unsatisfied with the resulting product. Every "song" that I've made seems to never capture the sound that I want and it also lacks in proper depth and complexity of songs made by professionals. I can never seem to get anything good as a result. Though, no matter how hard I try I always come to the same problem. Now, this was a while ago, and ever since I've been messing around with it and what not trying to make decent music.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum, and I was wondering if any of you could help me out with an issue that I've been having recently using the Demo version of FL Studio.īasically, I've been wanting to produce electronic music for a while now and seeing how I'm practically broke and not being able to afford any good pieces of software, I decided to download the said Demo version of the DAW.
